Vinegar Hill Pottery offers unique accommodation and rewarding pottery classes in the wonderful seaside village in Milford on Sea in Hampshire, on the edge of the New Forest National Park.  It is very much a family affair where Lucy Rogers manages the three-bedroom accommodation, and David Rogers is the master potter, teaching the pottery classes and producing his very own range of tableware and basins - handmade on the potter’s wheel. Together they have gained an increasing reputation for quality,  and have recenty built a brand new pottery studio to meet demand for their Hampshire pottery courses. You may even have seen Vinegar Hill Pottery featured on the Channel 4's 'The Great Pottery Throwdown'.

Milford on Sea b&b Accommodation

Accommodation

The Raku firing was amazing and I came home with some stunning pots with more on their way after firing. The breakfasts were lovely and the lunch provided as part of course was superb. Looking to go again in the future.

Our Location

Milford on Sea is tucked behind the Keyhaven Marshes and Hurst Spit on the South Coast. A traditional English sea side village complete with village green and Norman church, we a have a pebbled beach dotted with brightly coloured beach huts and fabulous views of the Isle of Wight and the Needles. At low tide the sand bank is revealed, creating a wonderful lagoon - if you are lucky you can see horse riders gallop it’s length, and join the beach cricketers and wine drinkers make their way out to enjoy the sunsets.
